The difference between a legal and a Non-Legal DNA Test is the type of documentation that is received. For a Legal DNA test you will receive results that you can use in court for any purpose pertaining to the child. The results for a non-legal DNA test has the same level of accuracy as a legal, but are for your peace of mind only and will not hold up in court. A kit will be mailed to the address you provide us with and will include instructions, buccal swabs, specimen envelopes and a pre-paid postage envelope to return the specimens to our laboratory. You must call us back within 4-5 business days after you drop the samples back in the mailbox to retrieve the results. Once the results have been finalized and completed, at your request we will also mail out a copy and / or email you a copy for your records.
